When Safeco updated its Auto Insurance to sell to a broader market, including higher-risk customers, we were challenged to make independent agents think of Safeco Auto in a new way.
I developed the idea to send a Safeco-branded monster- jeep to every Safeco agency office in the country to reinforce the idea that agents could quote Safeco to nearly every customer segment - even customers who drive monster-jeeps.
Within 24 hours, we had sign-off from Safeco's executive team and I had sourced 15,000 remote-controlled monster jeeps at a steep discount.
The Safeco marketing team excuted the promotion flawlessly and boosted quoting by 400%
